George Carlin Talks About “Stuff”
… funny that this has sat at the top of my inbox for, oh, 6 months.
I downloaded 2Do yesterday and have had numerous issues getting the sync to work reliably. It works, then it doesn’t many, many times in a row. Cue hellacious MobileMe calendar conflicts. Resolve. Syncs. Then doesn’t, many, many, times in a row.
Bandar, one of the 2Do creators replied to my whining on Twitter, recommending to do the old uninstall and reinstall via iTunes trick. I’ll try it but I’m not going to get my hopes too far up.
Background note: I’ve been a hardcore Things user for the past year and a half. A few weeks ago I noted that the items that popped up in the “Today” section bore no actual resemblance to the things I really needed to do. I went on a two week experiment to manage tasks all with paper and writing tools. Guess what? I was more productive.
So why try 2Do? Recurring tasks were difficult to manage.
… I’m going to write up more about all this later, so I’ll save the details for then.
Is your iPhone or iPod touch not feeling so “smart” since it can’t sync or even manage tasks out-of-the-box? Here are four apps with which to get your productivity on.

Holy shit, it’s like I wrote this article myself. I did exactly what this article recommends with exception to storing them in paper bags for easy transport. Great tips, but if you live with someone who used to be an English major it may be difficult to get them on board.
