VeganYumYum - Crispy Sweet and Sour Seitan: a reverse-engineered recipe for Grasshopper Restaurant’s “No Name.”
I didn’t know that Lolo (of VeganYumYum) was Boston-based. Cool!
Rustic Taza Chocolate Chunk Cookies
… thinking of making these but requires 1lb of chocolate, the equivalent of 5+ bars of Taza chocolate.
I’ve had dreads for long enough that they need to get periodically purged of residue. I found this recipe on Dreadlock Truth:
- big bowl of warm water, or hot-ish if you can stand it.
- 3/4 cup of baking soda
- 8-9 drops of tea tree oil
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons of sea salt
Stir until it is disolved. Soak dreads in the bowl or use a sqirt bottle or something similar to apply it to your scalp and dreads.
Grab a towel and wrap it aroud your head and leave it there for around half an hour, or more.
Rinse it out, well.
V e g a n D a d: Udon Noodles with Sesame Crusted Tofu
What I learned from this: Tofu in restaurants is coated in corn starch. That is why it has that texture you cannot get by simply frying it. For years we’ve been trying to accomplish this, and it turns out it’s a secondary ingredient that was missing.
