In January 2010, after Barack Obama and his administration moved their State of the Union Address away from February 2 to avoid a conflict with the premiere of Lost’s final season, Damon and Carlton said that Obama could ask a question about any unresolved mystery and they would answer it. According to the White House’s ABC correspondant Jake Tapper, Obama allegedly asked the identity of Adam and Eve, to which Carlton replied “Good question! Have POTUS call us!
The money powers prey upon the nation in times of peace and conspire against it in times of adversity. It is more despotic than a monarchy, more insolent than autocracy, and more selfish than bureaucracy. It denounces as public enemies, all who question its methods or throw light upon its crimes… As a result of the war, corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money powers of the country will endeavor to prolong it’s reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed.

…Oh, and that swastika thing is pretty disgusting.

Isn’t it ironic..

I don’t think it’s ironic at all. Democrats requested an adjustment to the Senator appointment process that seems more fair than it was. A truly balanced approach will be beneficial or harmful to either party.

dihard:

Isn’t it a little ironic that the same law that the Democrats changed in 2004 is what lost them the Massachusetts Senate seat in such a dire time?

(The Democrats, fearing Mitt Romney would appoint a Republican Senator if Kerry were to win the presidential election and vacate his Senate seat in 2004, submitted a bill to change the law to require a special election within 145-160 days after a Senate seat becomes vacant. Even more ironic is that Kennedy was instrumental in that change. Even more ironic is that they’d still hold that seat if the previous law was upheld.)
