Iwata Asks - Nintendo DSi →
This is a long two–part interview with various members of the Nintendo team that developed the DSi. It’s great to get a glimpse over their design process and their goals. I like the idea that on the outside the DSi has features that other things like cell phones have but what differentiates it from other products is that they built it all around the concept of having fun. Where I think Apple’s...

Foxmarks →
As my one year subscription to MobileMe is up soon I’ve been trying to think about what I actually used of it whether I could use something else in its place. Foxmarks syncs bookmarks between browsers (firefox, ie, and safari) and computers (windows or mac). It doesn’t sync with iPhone but they do have a website where I can access my bookmarks in an iPhone formatted list.

the epic battle
We actually maintain a hand–written list to make sure it doesn’t fall into the wrong hands. Damn! I just ruined it. madyago: As long as it is double-spaced after every sentence and after every line, with one inch margins around “the list” and one inch indentions on each new paragraph, including double spaces between the bibliography in re: to “the list.” em: Due to the paper trail you...

the epic battle
Due to the paper trail you double spacers have left on the internet it is very easy to put you on… the list. Mwah hah hah hah hah. madyago: Word leaves in my happy second spaces, just like it should! I’ll never stop until it’s a world-wide grammar law! em: It’s one space. From my memory it is because the second space did in fact increase readability on a typewriter but since the advent...

the epic battle
It’s one space. From my memory it is because the second space did in fact increase readability on a typewriter but since the advent of computers it is no longer necessary. I believe (though I don’t use it so I cannot verify, perhaps it is just an option) that Word actually takes out all of your stupid double spaces for you. If you need an extra reason: think of all the paper you’ve wasted with...

things i am thinking about twitter...
My approach to Twitter is that it kind of gets rid of that stuff you would usually ask your friend the next time you saw them (What did you do last weekend? How are things?) and let’s you cut right to discussing things a bit deeper. I follow just my friends and keep my account private. I find it makes following others meaningful and keeps the interactions meaningful. I broke this rule recently to...

I found Robert Lang: Idea + square = origami to be inspiring. Though it’s something I have approached before it’s a nice reminder that math, science, creativity, and art are not opposing forces.

LÖVE - Free 2D Game Engine →
‘LÖVE is an unquestionably awesome 2D game engine, which allows rapid game development and prototyping in Lua.’ Honestly I would LOVE to make a 2D game and that there is a cool looking framework that is Open Source makes me want to start right this second.
