Pizza, Gus' way
I really, really, really, need to try making pizza this way. mrgan: (This post uses formatting and features not visible in the Tumblr Dashboard. If anything below doesn’t make sense or looks plain ugly, consider viewing the post on my website. I love the Dashboard, I hate the Dashboard.) Gus Mueller, software developer and amateur pizzaiolo, had an idea for generating the sort of heat you...

Alice's adventures in algebra: Wonderland solved →
givemesomethingtoread: What would Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland be without the Cheshire Cat, the trial, the Duchess’s baby or the Mad Hatter’s tea party? Look at the original story that the author told Alice Liddell and her two sisters one day during a boat trip near Oxford, though, and you’ll find that these famous characters and scenes are missing from the text.

Two snaps up and in a circle. langer: merlin: I’m painfully aware of the divisive nature of whatever the fuck it is that I do (and more particularly, how I do it)… While we’re being “meta-ass-kissy” here I have to ask: why do you always say things like “whatever the fuck it is I do” whenever you talk about your work? You make a living telling people how to be a little less stupid....

Having Fun With Elvis On Stage (1974) →
I have quite a few live performances by Elvis and my favorite are the songs he can’t even finish because he cracks himself up so much. austinkleon: Having Fun With Elvis on Stage is considered by many critics to be the worst live album Elvis or anyone else has ever put out. This is because there were no song performances on it, only tape byplay recorded between songs - Elvis telling jokes,...

marco: What if copyright infringement were made completely impossible? What if we had perfect enforcement at the technical level?1 I’ve spent the past several years doing digital art, doing what I could but mostly pining that I had more space, more tools, more time, and more talent. The more of those things I had, the better that my digital artwork could be. Then I realized I was preoccupied...

Vimeo Sued By Capitol Records Over Lip Dubs  →
Capitol Records can suck a fuck. The “Vimeo Lip Dubs” – which there is a sample of on the link – have been some of the most refreshing and awesome displays of people who love music being creative and showing that love to others. It feels more like Capitol decided that they could not make any money from it and so decided the best way would be to sue for it. muxtape: Who benefits?

Holy F#(k! The Pastebot sync with Mac feature (at the end of this video) is amazing. Basically anytime you copy it automatigically gets sent to Pastebot if it is running. Pressing and holding on an item in Pastebot pastes it on your Mac. This is going to be like Dropbox for my clipboard. via David Chartier Macworld
